What is orthopaedics?
Orthopaedics deals with the musculoskeletal system: the bones and joints, and the ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves that enable movement. Trauma and orthopaedic surgeons diagnose and treat conditions of this system. Their work includes broken, fractured or dislocated bones and soft tissue injuries.
