Trauma therapy training and other training for therapists and counsellors
This category will list training for therapists and counsellors who work with survivors of abuse, from trauma therapy training to what to expect if a client is involved in a criminal case or a claim. In England and Wales, since 12 January 2026, the police and other authorised investigators can ask a counselling or therapy service for information about a victim only if the request is necessary and proportionate, and they believe the information is likely to have substantial probative value to a reasonable line of enquiry.
